Oh, how did the week sink so low?

I’m not sure, but this has definitely been the hardest … 18 hours (?) of my life. It’s like a muddy haze of stress, with only the briefest ascent into the sun in the last 4 hours.
C-boo has learned to flip from her back to her stomach. But the resulting chaos of it actually had me typing “LURNED”. That, folks, is how exhausted it has made me.
She flips from her back to her front sometime in the 15 minutes after I put her to bed. The she wakes up, realizes that she is face-down and freaks out. Loses it. Screams bloody murder. Refuses to remember that she has been rolling the other way (front to back) since oh, I don’t know, JUNE!
So I’m up, out of bed, having barely closed my eyes, shushing and calming the poor terrified monster. Some cases require a hug, some require rocking, some walking, others require a little munch. Then back to sleep.
Only to repeat 15 minutes later.
Again and again, until the poor child and her mother are so exhausted that one is glassy-eyed and the other is in tears.
C-boo did not go to sleep until 1:30pm – THIS afternoon.
I did not go to sleep until 2pm – THIS afternoon.
Fortunately, Kit-kat will sleep pretty much any time you offer
PS, ultra-big thanks go out to Grampa Rocky for dropping whatever he was doing today to come visit us and make the babeez smile. Without him, the babeez may have ended up on eBay.
